| Genesis School has received some great end-of-the-year news! We have been awarded the 2011 US Commerce Association’s Kansas City Award in Education. The USCA Award Program recognizes outstanding organizations throughout the country in various categories, and it’s quite an honor for Genesis to win in the education category. Congrats to everyone at the school and in the community for all the hard work to make this happen! A special USCA Kansas City Award soon will be delivered to our school and proudly displayed in our foyer. Genesis has, for thirty-five years, been praised for its success with children who have behavioral and academic shortcomings. Many students come to us two or three grade levels behind their peers. By recently expanding services to include the lower grades, kindergarten through 8th grades, the "new" Genesis Promise Academy will be able to prevent the development of behavioral obstacles to learning and minimize many of the intervention strategies necessary to address the deterrents displayed by the students.
